Organo Et School (OES) conducted an engaging two-day workshop at My Home Avatar on 7th and 8th February, creating a vibrant space for children to explore creativity, storytelling, and their connection with nature. The workshop was thoughtfully designed to blend fun activities with meaningful learning experiences, encouraging children to think, create, and observe.
Day 1: Creativity and Expression Through Art and Stories
On the first day, participants engaged in activity book colouring, storytelling sessions, and an origami workshop.
The colouring exercises enabled children to creatively interpret themes related to nature and sustainability, while the storytelling sessions sparked curiosity and broadened their environmental awareness.
The origami workshop provided a hands-on learning experience, where children transformed simple sheets of paper into intricate forms, enhancing their concentration, patience, and fine motor skills.
Day 2: Exploring Nature as Young Detectives
On the second day, 8th February, the focus shifted to experiential learning through the Nature Detective workshop. Children took on the role of young explorers as they engaged in an interactive activity of matching images of birds, animals, and mammals with their corresponding shadows on a worksheet. This hands-on exercise stimulated curiosity, enhanced observation skills, and encouraged critical thinking, while also fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Alongside this activity, children continued with activity book colouring, which reinforced the concepts introduced earlier and provided a creative outlet to express their learning and observations.
Encouraging Sustainable Thinking Through Engagement
Overall, the workshop at My Home Avatar successfully combined artistic expression with nature-based exploration. It not only kept children meaningfully engaged but also instilled a sense of environmental responsibility. Through such immersive initiatives, OES continues to inspire young minds to embrace curiosity, creativity, and sustainable living practices in their everyday lives.
