On 24th March 2026, two B.Arch second-year students from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University visited Organo Antharam as part of an academic case study to understand sustainable community design and ecological living practices.

The visit began with a warm welcome from Komadhi Rayala from the Organo Et School team introducing the students to Sapthapatha, the foundational framework that guides the community's approach to sustainability and holistic living.

As part of the experiential learning tour, the students visited the netted house and agricultural zones within the community. They gained insights into natural farming practices, efficient drip irrigation systems, crop planning methods, and the role of sustainable agriculture in supporting a self-reliant lifestyle.

To understand the community's energy management systems, the students explored the solar panel installations in the parking area. They learned how Organo Antharam functions as a net-zero energy community, where renewable energy generated on-site is designed to meet the requirements of both residential homes and common facilities.

Goushala:

The students visited the Goushala and learned about the importance of indigenous cattle in supporting sustainable farming practices. They also understood how cow-based resources contribute to natural agriculture and the overall ecological cycle of the community.

Biogas Plant:

At the biogas plant, the students observed how organic waste and cattle dung are converted into clean, renewable energy. They gained insight into waste-to-energy systems that help reduce environmental impact while promoting resource efficiency.

God's Own Office:

The visit to God's Own Office provided an understanding of how sustainable architecture can seamlessly blend with nature. The students explored how the space serves as a living example of the Sapthapatha principles through eco-friendly design and mindful resource use.

Rurban Hive:

Later visit to Rurban hive they learned how the evaporative cooling system works, utilizing natural processes to regulate outdoor temperatures efficiently while minimizing energy consumption and enhancing thermal comfort.

Overall, the visit offered a comprehensive perspective on sustainable living and regenerative community design. The students left with a sense of admiration and inspiration, having witnessed how thoughtful architectural planning, ecological principles, and community participation can come together to create a harmonious, resilient, and self-sustaining living environment.
