On 20th August 2026, Organo Antharam welcomed 9 enthusiastic students and 3 faculty members from Imara School for an immersive day of exploration, discovery and hands-on learning. Filled with energy, excitement and curiosity, the students arrived ready to experience nature beyond the classroom.
Their journey began at the Netted House, where they observed a variety of young saplings carefully nurtured for growth. With the guidance of the Organo Et School team members, the students tried to identify the different plants, turning the experience into an engaging learning activity.
From there, the students stopped to observe the solar panels and understand how renewable energy can be integrated into sustainable living. Soon, it was time to head towards the farm—with their bags from home ready to carry something special: their own harvest.
The students reached the Organo Et School Children’s Farm, where they discovered different patches of leafy greens growing across the farm. With guidance from Farm Supervisor Mr. Narendra Vadthyavath and Farm Helper Mallesh, the students rolled up their sleeves and got involved in harvesting.
They harvested amaranthus, spinach, coriander and roselle, experiencing first-hand where food comes from and what it takes to grow it.
For many children, harvesting vegetables can transform an everyday meal into a story. It helps them understand the connection between soil, farmers, food and the choices we make at the dining table.
After harvesting, the students continued their journey with a trek through the forest landscape of Organo Antharam. The walk became an opportunity to observe the biodiversity around them.
Along the way, they spotted butterflies, dragonflies and birds, making the trek an exciting exploration of the natural world. Every sighting brought a new question, observation or moment of wonder.
The trail eventually led them to God’s Own Office, where the SDP team had thoughtfully arranged fresh juice, buttermilk and cookies for the young explorers. It was a welcome pause before they continued with the next part of their adventure.
The students then visited the Goshala, where they were introduced to Indian cattle and learned about the differences between Indian and Western breeds. The session also introduced them to the concept of A2 milk and the traditional significance of indigenous cattle.
At the Organo Cow Hostel, the learning became hands-on once again. The students had the opportunity to feed the cows, offer them fodder and spend some meaningful time with the cattle.
By the end of the day, the students had experienced much more than a field trip. They had observed, questioned, harvested, trekked, discovered and connected with different aspects of a living ecosystem.
At Organo Et School, we believe that some of the most meaningful lessons happen when children are given the opportunity to experience things for themselves. A farm can become a science classroom, a forest can become a biodiversity lesson, and caring for animals can become a lesson in empathy and responsibility.
After a fulfilling day, the students enjoyed their lunch before preparing to head back to school. As they said goodbye to the OES team, they carried home their freshly harvested greens, new experiences and, most importantly, memories to cherish.
UNESCO recognized Organo Et School as a green citizen initiative and Uplink, the open innovation platform of the World Economic Forum (WEF) recognized OES as Global Innovative Solution.
