The Eco Summer Workshop for Green Champions by Organo Et School (OES) was thoughtfully designed to inspire children to become environmentally conscious through hands-on learning and meaningful experiences. The workshop, conducted at Rurban Lofts on 26th April 2026, featured two key programs — Solar Power Exploration and My Waste, My Responsibility — each encouraging children to connect with sustainability in practical ways.
Solar Power Exploratio

Through discussion, children began to understand that the sun is an abundant and reliable source of energy, and why shifting towards renewable energy is essential for a sustainable future.

The learning quickly moved from theory to practice as children built their own DIY solar kits. The moment the fan started spinning and the light glowed using solar energy brought immense excitement and curiosity. This hands-on activity helped them understand how solar energy can be used in everyday household applications, making the concept both relatable and memorable.
My Waste, My Responsibility

The workshop then transitioned into the second session, My Waste, My Responsibility, focusing on waste awareness and management. Children explored the different types of waste generated at home and learned to distinguish between wet and dry waste.

Through a practical segregation activity, they sorted waste into appropriate categories, reinforcing the idea that wet waste can be composted while dry waste should be recycled.

To deepen their understanding, children participated in a fun and interactive reflection worksheet, allowing them to connect their learning with daily habits.

The workshop also included a special session on preparing bio-enzyme solutions, engaging both children and adults. Participants learned how to create bio-enzymes using simple kitchen waste and understood how these natural solutions can replace harmful chemical cleaners and disinfectants in everyday life.
Overall, the Eco Summer Workshop was designed to nurture awareness, responsibility, and action. It encouraged children to realize that sustainable living begins with small, conscious choices — from using renewable energy to managing waste responsibly. The program successfully planted the seeds of environmental stewardship, empowering young minds to become true green champions.
