On 30th January 2026, a group of 27 B.Arch students from the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, along with a faculty member, visited Organo Antharam as part of an academic field study.

The visit began with a warm reception by the OES team, followed by an introductory session that outlined the vision and philosophy of Organo Eco Habitats and Organo Et School. Ms. Kalyani from the Organo Et School team introduced the concept of Sapthapatha, the foundational framework that guides the community’s approach to sustainability.

As part of their exploration of the Food strand, students visited the netted house and agricultural zones within the community. Here, they were introduced to natural farming methods, efficient drip irrigation techniques, and crop planning systems that support a self-reliant lifestyle for residents.

For the Energy systems, the group visited the solar panel installations in the parking area. Ms. Kalyani from the Organo Et School team explained how the community functions as a net-zero energy model, where renewable energy generated on-site is sufficient to meet the needs of both homes and shared spaces.

Ms. Kalyani also explained the rich biodiversity of Organo Antharam, encouraging students to observe and experience the site’s natural ecosystem. She highlighted the importance of preserving native flora and fauna, and how the community is designed to coexist harmoniously with nature. Students were able to witness diverse plant species, local vegetation, and ecological habitats, gaining a deeper understanding of how biodiversity plays a crucial role in sustainable living.

Further enriching their understanding, the students visited God’s Own Office, where they gained insight into how the Sapthapatha framework is implemented in everyday practices.

She explained the concept of bio-fencing and its role in supporting biodiversity at Organo Antharam. She described how natural fencing using native plant species helps protect habitats while allowing free movement of local fauna. This approach ensures that human activities do not disturb wildlife movement, promoting a harmonious coexistence between residents and the surrounding ecosystem.

Overall, the visit offered a comprehensive perspective on sustainable living. The students and faculty left with a sense of admiration and inspiration, having witnessed how thoughtful architectural design, when combined with ecological principles, can create a harmonious and self-sustaining living environment.
