On 22 July 2026, Organo Et School conducted an interactive Solar Energy Workshop for students of Classes 6 to 8 at Kandawada ZPHS School as part of its STEL (Sustainability Through Experiential Learning) Rural Program.The workshop transformed the classroom into a space of exploration, where students discovered how sunlight can be converted into clean energy through hands-on learning and real-world experiences
Rather than beginning with complex science, the session started with a simple question led by Ms. Kalyani from Organo Et School:
"What is energy?"
From there, students explored where energy comes from, why the world is rapidly shifting toward renewable sources, and how the sun—something they see every day—can power homes, schools, and communities.
Through interactive discussions, students discovered how photovoltaic cells convert sunlight into electricity, allowing solar panels to generate clean energy without smoke, noise, or pollution. What could have been a difficult scientific concept became an exciting story of how sunlight can quietly transform into power.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
The workshop wasn't only about understanding technology. It encouraged students to reflect on their own daily habits and recognize that protecting the environment begins with simple actions.

When Learning Became an Experience
The most exciting part of the day arrived when the hands-on solar kits were introduced.
Working together in small groups, students carefully examined the components, discussed ideas, solved challenges, and assembled their own working solar models. There were moments of trial and error, curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for.
As the solar panels caught the sunlight and their models came to life, the classroom filled with smiles, excitement, and a genuine sense of achievement.
It wasn't simply about assembling a kit. It was the confidence that comes from discovering, "We built this ourselves."
Those moments often become the memories that inspire children to keep asking questions, experimenting, and believing they can create solutions for the future.
