On 15th April, 19 students from Aurora Design Academy visited Organo Antharam for an immersive learning experience that brought together architecture, sustainability, and community living. Accompanied by their faculty members, the students arrived with curiosity and enthusiasm to understand how sustainable principles can be integrated into real-world design and planning.

The visit began with an introduction to Organo Eco Habitats and Organo Et School, where students were introduced to the philosophy of rurban living—a thoughtful blend of rural wisdom and urban conveniences. Through interactive discussions, they explored how sustainability extends beyond green buildings to encompass food systems, water conservation, energy management, biodiversity, and community well-being.

As they toured the campus, students observed various sustainable features embedded within the community. They gained insights into passive design strategies, renewable energy integration, water conservation systems, natural farming practices, and the role of native biodiversity in creating resilient ecosystems. The visit offered an opportunity to witness how design decisions can positively influence both people and the environment.

One of the highlights of the experience was engaging with the living landscape of Organo Antharam. The students explored community spaces, agricultural areas, and nature-based solutions that demonstrate sustainable living in practice. These experiences encouraged them to think critically about the future of design and the responsibility of designers in creating environmentally conscious spaces.

The visit concluded with an engaging reflection session where students discussed their observations and exchanged ideas on sustainable architecture and planning. By experiencing sustainability beyond textbooks and classrooms, the students gained valuable perspectives on designing spaces that are not only functional and aesthetically appealing but also regenerative and people centric.

The visit served as a meaningful reminder that the future of design lies in creating harmonious relationships between nature, communities, and the built environment.
