On the eve of World Yoga Day, June 22, 2025, Organo Et School hosted a serene and rejuvenating yoga session for the residents of Antharam at the Maaredupalle Cluster Club. The program, designed for both adults and children, offered a unique opportunity to embrace wellness through guided yoga and forest bathing amidst the lush greenery of Organo Antharam.
The session aimed to introduce participants to simple, everyday yoga practices and to inspire mindfulness and inner calm through quiet reflection.
The session was led by Mrs. Prabhavati Patne, a seasoned yoga practitioner with over a decade of experience. Ms. Prajwala, from Organo Eco Habitats, warmly welcomed Mrs. Patne and introduced her to the enthusiastic gathering.
The program began with gentle breathing exercises to center the mind and prepare the body. Participants were then guided through a series of essential stretches tailored for modern sedentary lifestyles. Recognizing the diverse needs of the group, Mrs. Patne also demonstrated modified postures suitable for senior citizens, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
The session concluded with a peaceful meditation practice, where participants explored slow, mindful breathing techniques to promote relaxation and mental clarity.
The event beautifully blended the spirit of World Yoga Day with Organo’s vision of sustainable and holistic living, leaving participants feeling refreshed, connected, and inspired to integrate wellness into their daily lives.
Forest Bathing: Reconnecting with Nature Through Mindful Presence
Following the meditative and breathing practices of the yoga session, participants continued their journey of mindfulness with a Forest Bathing Workshop, deepening their connection with nature. Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, forest bathing is not about physical exercise—it is the art of slowing down and immersing oneself fully in the sights, sounds, and textures of the natural world. It is a conscious, sensory experience that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and restores inner balance.
The session was gently guided by Mrs. Kalyani from Organo Et School, who led participants through a series of immersive, nature-based activities in the serene surroundings of the Antharam cluster.
The workshop began with a sensory awakening walk, where participants moved slowly and silently through the natural landscape. They were encouraged to tune into the environment—observing the patterns of leaves, feeling the textures of bark, listening to birdsong, and taking in the subtle fragrances of flowers and foliage. This mindful walk invited participants to become fully present, using all their senses to connect with the earth.
As the walk concluded, participants were invited to choose a tree they felt naturally drawn to—one that was accessible, safe, and undisturbed. In quiet reflection, they placed their palms or wrapped their arms around the tree, closed their eyes, and took deep, grounding breaths. They were encouraged to feel the stillness and strength of the tree, to imagine its roots reaching deep into the soil and its branches stretching skyward—symbolizing stability and growth.
This gentle yet profound experience culminated in a moment of gratitude, as each participant silently offered thanks to their chosen tree for the connection and calm it offered.
The session concluded with participants slowly returning to the group space, carrying with them a renewed sense of peace, connection, and appreciation for the natural world.
Rock Balancing: A Mindful Exploration for Children
While the adults engaged in yoga and forest bathing, the children participated in a hands-on mindfulness activity through rock balancing and creating quiet reflection circles in sand. These simple yet profound practices encouraged them to slow down, focus, and connect with the natural world in a creative way.
The activity began with children leveling the sand using wooden tools. They then used rakes to draw soothing circular patterns in the sand—an act that promoted calm and creativity. Once their circles were complete, they selected rocks of varying shapes and sizes and attempted to balance them one atop another, turning the process into a playful meditation in patience and precision.
Each time they wanted to try again, they first had to reset—level the sand, recreate the patterns, and then balance the rocks again. This repetitive yet rewarding process helped cultivate focus, persistence, and an appreciation for quiet effort.
Parents who observed the activity expressed their appreciation, noting that such experiences provide children with meaningful alternatives to screen time. They valued how the activity fostered patience, concentration, and a deeper connection with nature.
Reflections on a Day of Mindfulness and Connection
At the close of the event, participants—both children and adults—were invited to share their reflections. Many expressed a renewed understanding of the importance of yoga, meditation, and being present. Several remarked that they had never before noticed the rich presence of trees, flowers, and birds in their surroundings, but the mindful sessions helped them appreciate the natural beauty of their neighborhood.
The day concluded not just with physical calmness, but with a deeper sense of inner awareness and gratitude—for one’s body, mind, and the environment that surrounds us.
