On 11 October, the Organo Et School (OES) team participated in Surya Global School’s Edu-Fair 2025, bringing its sustainability through experiential learning education to parents, students, and teachers. This gathering served as a wonderful opportunity to deepen community understanding around eco-living and experiential learning.

During the event, OES highlighted the transformative potential of learning from nature by explaining the various farm-based programs that OES offers specially designed for different age groups to help children connect with nature early on.

One of the most engaging parts of our stall was the display of 14 different varieties of native vegetable and leafy seeds. We invited visitors both children and adults to identify these seeds, and as a token of appreciation, we offered small sustainable gifts to participants.

OES Head of Sustainability, Ms. Kalyani S, held meaningful conversations with the parents and visitors who came by. She emphasized how important it is for children to stay connected with the natural world, and cautioned against too much reliance on technology, especially among younger minds. She also talked about how food growing is not just about harvest but involves time, patience, and respect and that understanding this journey can make children more mindful about food and less wasteful.

To encourage everyone to take their eco-living journey home, we distributed our Urban Garden/Jeevamrutham Manual, a practical guide to starting a kitchen garden. For the kids, we handed out activity books that prompt them to reflect on sustainability issues in their daily life making eco-learning fun, personal, and actionable.

The OES team found the experience at Surya Global School to be deeply fulfilling. We are grateful to the school’s management, teachers, parents, and students for welcoming us and engaging so enthusiastically. We look forward to building on this connection, and hope to collaborate more with Surya Global School in the future.
