Launching OES Kitchen Gardening Workshops-1 Gardencersize

Organo Et School launches Gardencersize workshops at OES Farm campus. This is a series of workshops with Chandana Mannedi, who is a celebrity fitness coach, movement therapist and Pilates expert. Chandana along with OES will teach and guide health enthusiasts about maintaining the right body posture and engaging core muscles while gardening and farming.

Below is a brief outline of what you will learn about Natural Farming in this program. The start date will be informed soon.

Workshop 1:  Soil preparation and Sowing 

Time: 7:30 – 9:30 am

Workshop 2: Weeding and learning to grow Microgreens

Time: 7:30 – 9:30 am

Workshop 3:  Harvesting your produce and making Salad 

Time: 7:30 – 9:30 am

"All 3 Gardencersize workshops will be conducted at OES Farm campus" Kesaram, Chevella Road.

Batch-1, has only 20 slots. We are opening the program to the age group 16 yrs and above. For these 3-farm workshops, there is a nominal fee of Rs.6,000, per participant.

What we can provide:

  • Approx. 12 sq.ft farm patch for each participant to farm on during the program duration of 3 Saturdays.
  • Seasonal saplings (2 leafy), Jeevamrutham, buttermilk and natural farming guidance on what to do on a weekly basis
  • Farm coaches, who will guide on the weekly schedule of activities for the seasonal crops
  • Source of water for watering the plants
  • Informal seating for friends. 

What the participants are requested to do

  1. Engage in farming operations such as soil preparation, seeding, weeding, tending, growing, harvesting, and more
  2. Come and leave at designated time over 3 weekends to tend to their farm patch
  3. Bring their own gardening tools (gloves, spades, watering cans, small shovels, small rakes, garden scissors), and apt attire (including weather & exercise appropriate gear & garden boots/shoes)
  4. Follow farm-friendly behavior & follow necessary Covid protocols
  5. Bring food, drinking water & snacks for themselves
  6. Bring hand towels, cloth napkins, sanitizers, masks for themselves
  7. Bring paper/cloth bags to carry the fresh produce harvested by them and take it back home

At the end of the 3 workshops, in July, the participant will

  1. Have hands-on immersive experience in raising green leafy vegetables.
  2. Have gained information on natural farming methods
  3. Have gained some knowledge on plant care and correct postures while gardening
  4. Have learnt the correct posture and method of sitting or squatting while gardening, which is good for your health.
  5. Get a certificate from OES on course completion
  6. Get featured on OES website and Social Media Channels recognizing their efforts
