On a bright Sunday morning of 9 Jan 2022, OES Kinder Gardeners program came to an end, with our Kinder Gardeners Manas and Aishwarya graduating.

Their farm day started as usual by tending to their farm patches. Our farm coach Sreedevi Ande took them to their small farms to a nice surprise of fresh leafy greens ready for harvest. These toddlers learnt how to harvest Soya, Methi and Coriander from the ground. As they started uprooting the fully grown green vegetables their mounds grew bigger and bigger. They put all this produce in their harvest bags and rolled up some more in newspapers to take them home. Both kids were incredibly happy to collect what they had grown over a month during the farming season, at OES Children’s Farm.

Having done at the farm patches, everybody moved to another interesting nature craft activity. The kids learnt to make their favorite creature from natural material I.e., dried leaves and twigs. Our nature coach Rashmi Agarwal helped the kids make a butterfly for Aishwarya and a tree for Manas on paper using these natural materials. Once they were satisfied with what they made, they happily let their parents take their pictures.

Now came the pride moment, the graduation ceremony. Ms. Meena felicitated our Kinder Gardeners by awarding them certificates. In addition to this both the kids potted a Tulasi plant to commemorate their graduation at OES Children’s farm. These were indeed proud moments for everybody, to see these little ones enjoy doing so many things and learning along. We enjoyed every bit of the morning. And we hope the parents and kids did the same!
