On August 4, 2025, Organo Et School (OES) conducted a poster-making competition at Antharam Government School with 33 students as part of its ongoing awareness programs. Aligned with this year’s World Environment Day theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution”, the event aimed to sensitize students about the growing threat of plastic pollution and the importance of reducing plastic use in daily life.
The competition was held for students of Classes 7, 8, and 9. The event began with a short briefing session on the theme, followed by poster-making instructions. Students participated with great enthusiasm, bringing their ideas to life through vibrant drawings, thoughtful messages, and creative slogans promoting sustainability.
The posters were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges including Mrs. Anu Ayyar, CEO of Religiate Interactive Brand Consulting Pvt Ltd, Mr. Raghav Adapa, Founder & CEO of Telebeacon Solutions Pvt Ltd who are also the residents from Organo Antharam and Mr Buchi Babu, Teacher from Antharam Government School. Evaluation criteria included Relevance to Theme, Creativity and Originality, Visual Impact, Message Clarity, and Neatness.
The judges appreciated the children’s efforts and were impressed by their artistic interpretation and understanding of the theme.
Two outstanding posters were selected from each class, and all entries were displayed for students to view and appreciate.
The event concluded with the announcement of winners and the distribution of participation certificates to all students. The students who won the award were Chandra Hasini and P Pallavi from 7th standard, P Richa and D Sandeep from 8th standard and D Supriya and G Sannidhi from 9th standard.
The poster-making competition served as an effective theme-based learning activity, helping students understand the critical issue of plastic pollution through a creative and engaging approach. It fostered active student engagement by encouraging self-expression and environmental awareness among middle school learners. Through this activity, students enhanced their creativity, visual communication skills, and environmental literacy. Most importantly, the program reflects OES’s ongoing commitment to conducting awareness initiatives that nurture a culture of sustainability and responsible citizenship among young learners.
