Having an objective of Nurturing a learning environment for all stakeholders where inclusive holistic eco-living is celebrated, Organo Et School organised ‘Be A Farmer’ workshop at Rurban Nest community on 10 January 2021. The event was attended by 30 participants who are aspiring to be farmers.

The concept of collective farming, advantages of safe, witnessed & naturally grown food, the dangers of chemical-induced food and importance of reducing food miles was explained to a group of like-minded people by Dr Syamasundar Reddy,a renowned agriculturist.

Adding more experiential value to the program, the participants harvested spinach and fenugreek grown organically inside the community. A special Kites Flying activity was arranged. Children had a good day in the field flying kites.

After attending the workshop the participants were able to understand and explain;

1. Why collective farming?

2. How to sow and transplant seeds(seasonal & local)?

3. How to care for them till the plant becomes self-sufficient?

4.  Importance of Organic Farming.
