Now, Be A Farmer Sundays are filled with energy, cheer and laughter. All young farmers arrive at the Organo Et School Children's Farm campus at 9:00 am. They are equipped with their farming tools, watering cans or buckets and lots of enthusiasm.

They are enthusiastic about learning a new farming activity each time. This time it is mulching and harvesting the leafy green vegetables. Our farm coach Shilpa Teja asked the children to use old newspapers torn to big pieces as mulch. This newspaper was spread in their farm patches carefully around the vegetable plants of tomatoes and Okra. Then they watered these beds covered with newspaper pieces. Once done with this interesting activity children ran up to their coach Shilpa with excitement.

Then came the most exciting and interesting leg of the session, harvesting. The green leafy vegetables that children had grown over the last few weeks, were ready for harvest. Shilpa demonstrated how to harvest the coriander, soya(dil), and methi (fenugreek) leaves. All the kids followed their coach and started filling their harvest baskets with fresh and green produce from their respective farm patches. All of them had expressions of satisfaction and achievement, as they proudly took this fresh harvest to their parents and team coaches Meena and Venkatesh. They nicely wrapped their leafy vegetables, bundled up in newspapers and put them in baskets they got from home.

The experience was most cherished by one and all. These expressions of joy were captured in cameras by proud and happy parents. The sense of achievement while harvesting what these young farmers had sown just 4 weeks back and the farm was filled with laughter and cheer! Soon, their cars were loaded with pleased little farmers and their baskets of green leafy to take back home.
