Organo Et School Showcases Sustainability Initiatives at FCRI’s National Seminar on Environment

Organo Et School (OES) participated in the Two-Day Seminar on Environment and Waste Management held on 21–22 November 2025, organized by the Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI). The seminar served as a national platform bringing together experts, policymakers, academicians, researchers, and students to discuss pressing issues related to environmental conservation and waste management.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of several eminent dignitaries, including Dr. C. Suvarna, IFS, PCCF (HoFF), Telangana Forest Department; Dr. Priyankaa Varghese, IFS, CCF (Charminar Circle); Sri Ravi Gugulothu, IAS, Member Secretary, Telangana Pollution Control Board; Sri Karnan, IAS, Commissioner, GHMC; Sri V. Krishna, IFS, Dean, FCRI; along with other distinguished members from leading institutions and research centres across India.

OES Presentations and Academic Contributions

The team presented posters on two topics: “Integrating Renewable Energy for Net Zero and Sustainable Resource Management – The Case of Organo Eco Habitats, Antharam” and “Net Zero Emissions Strategies in Eco-Habitats Developed by Organo Antharam based on the Seven Strands of the Sapthapatha Principles.”

Additionally, OES delivered an oral presentation on the Biodiversity Study conducted at Organo Antharam, showcasing the ecological richness of the region and the scientific approaches used to document local flora and fauna. These presentations were delivered by Mr. Rakesh Koti, Head of Sustainability, and Mr. Harminder Singh, Associate Vice President, OES.

Alongside the presentations, OES set up a well-curated stall that attracted widespread attention from students, research scholars, faculty members, and visiting dignitaries. Visitors engaged with the team to learn more about OES’s sustainability education programs, community-based ecological initiatives, and the practical strategies used in Organo Eco Habitats. Many students showed a strong interest in exploring future careers in environmental education, horticulture, forestry, and other related fields.

Throughout the two-day seminar, the team attended several technical sessions that covered topics such as waste management practices, circular economy approaches, the impact of waste on biodiversity, environmental governance, and sustainable resource use. These discussions provided deeper insights into emerging trends and ongoing research in the environmental domain.

Recognition for Excellence

The seminar concluded with a valedictory session where Organo Et School received two awards: Best Poster Presentation and Best Oral Presentation. These awards were presented by Sri G. Ramalingam, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests, Telangana Forest Department, and Sri Kalicharan S. Khartade, IAS, Member Secretary, Telangana Biodiversity Board.

This recognition stands as a proud moment for the OES team, acknowledging the quality of research and the impact of the sustainability initiatives showcased.

Participation in this national seminar offered Organo Et School an enriching opportunity to share its work with the academic and research community, learn from leading experts, and strengthen its commitment to environmental education and sustainable development. The experience reinforced the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing environmental challenges and inspired the team to continue advancing impactful ecological practices.
