A textile designer by profession and permaculture designer by passion. Currently designing and implementing Permaculture principles at Oorna farm, to make it an alternative self-sustaining learning space and farm. Shilpa also took the initiative to empower the local village women by teaching sewing . She is also interested in slow fashion and teaches natural dyeing, recycling and upcycling with used clothes in collaboration with village women. She keeps a keen interest in natural building and alternative education systems.
